About CANOE

Fatherhood. A fatal canoe accident. 'Who are we now, we don't have kids? A couple come face to face with the powerlessness of parenthood. A power tale of love, loss and legacy. Directed by Struan Leslie, creator of Edinburgh Hogmanay '18 Street Party, founding Head of Movement, RSC.

Over the past 6 months, Bread and Butter Productions have hosted three productions at CentrE17.

Firstly, TURKEY TINSEL; sharing the joy of togetherness at Christmas time in our multicultural society. Secondly, FXXK 18: HOLIDAY ODYSSEY; the kaleidoscopic examination of sexual hypocrisy and political perversity. Thirdly SUNNY RUNNY RUNCORN; an 'Under Milk Wood' version of a northern town exploration what happens on a return home.

We now celebrate their  fourth production - CANOE. We showcase two previews before a full run of 22 performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2018 at The Space @ Surgeons Hall.
