About Let's Talk About Periods.

Menstruation & the Female Body - a History

One thing we've learned from our Let's Talk About Periods. series of talks is that everyone loves talking about Mooncups!
But have you ever wondered what it was like for people on their periods before tampons, disposables, washing machines?

We are very lucky this month to have Dr. Sara Read joining us to discuss themes and ideas from her first book, Menstruation and the Female Body in Early Modern England (Genders and Sexualities in History).

Join us for an evening of open discussion exploring what it was and is to have a female body.

Dr. Sara Read is a specialist in early modern literature and medicine, with a specific focus on women’s reproductive health. http://www.sararead.co.uk

This event isn't just for those who menstruate - all genders and ages welcome!

Doors 7pm - join us for a drink and free snacks.
Talk starts 7.30pm followed by an open discussion.
