About Feast with the Potter for the Somerset Food Trail

To celebrate the Somerset Food Trail's 2023 theme of feasting, join artist and potter Richard Pomeroy in his wonderful home in Bruton for a sumptuous 5-course dinner prepared by local chef Charlotte Archer. Dine off and drink from Pomeroy porcelain and sample food supplied by over 35 local growers and farmers, some of whom will be present to talk about their produce.

Drinks and nibbles 6.30-7.30pm. Dinner served at 7.45pm.

Dinner served in the dining room, amongst Richard's private porcelain collection.

Course 1

Buffalo mozzarella with charred spring onion, garden peas and podded broad beans and wild garlic pesto

 

Course 2

Buffalo tartare with Batcombe vale wild garlic capers and ciabatta crisps

 

Course 3

Slow roast pork belly with homemade apple sauce

- Buttery new potatoes- Smokey summer greens salad- charred lettuce, broccoli, courgette and chard with tarragon and a lemon, garlic and chilli crumb- Labneh with caraway roast carrots and mint

 

Course 4

Spelt and strawberry torte with Brickell’s vanilla ice cream and a tipple of Richard's homemade Sloe Gin

 

Course 5

Cheese board- a selection of White Lake cheeses with breads, chutneys and membrillo

 

Coffee, herbal tea and fudge

A glass (possibly 2) will be included with your meal, but PLEASE do BRING YOUR OWN FAVOURITE WINE ALONG TO DRINK.

We can recommend the Cellarhand in Bruton (open weekdays 10-6) https://www.thecellarhand.co.uk/ or there's always Spar in the High Street.
