About Phil Cooper & The Away Team, with The Super Moons and Burnt Paw
Phil is a contemporary singer/songwriter who has earned excellent reviews from the national press, with his thought provoking songwriting and energetic live performances drawing comparisons to Neil Finn, Glenn Tilbrook and Ben Folds.
During his live shows, he makes a real connection with the crowd, whether it's handing out dozens of egg shakers, or passing around his "doodle book" for the audience to draw in. Every now and then you'll catch him unplugging his guitar and shunning the stage to stand right in among the captivated audience.
He has recently signed a distribution deal with Discovery Records on the strength of his latest album "Thoughts & Observations".
"One to see live, Definitely" - R2 Magazine (May 2016)
"Quite possibly the most brilliant singer-songwriter you don’t know about and shouldn’t miss" - Jamsphere Blog (March 2016)
"If you’re looking for a new singer/songwriter hero to get behind, we couldn’t think of many better to recommend" - Ocelot Magazine (March 2016)

Support comes from Scottish indie rockers, The Super Moons:
https://www.facebook.com/thesupermoonsband/
The Super Moons arrived from outer space to bring solid guitar music to the masses. Signed to the Infinite Hive music label in Edinburgh, The Super Moons released their first record "One Small Step" an EP, in May 2018 and have played all over Scotland ever since. Their sound is a hybrid of Paul Weller's songwriting, a Northern Soul vibe and an eclectic mix of acoustic and electric guitars.
And Edinburgh singer-songwriter Burnt Paw:

Burnt Paw is a songwriter, fingerstyle guitarist and loafer. His sonic imagination is influenced by counter-cultural music from both sides of the Atlantic, including psychedelic folk, contemporary new/dark folk, and the ‘American Primitive’ schools of Fahey and Basho. His lyrics unwind from oral histories, dream-fragments, myths and life-stories. Paw loves reading the nineteenth century poet Walt Whitman and generally thinks the world would be a better place if we all just stopped what we were doing and read ‘Leaves of Grass’.
