About Film: Kennington Noir presents Kiss Me Deadly (1955)
Kiss Me Deadly (1955), directed by Robert Aldrich, with Ralph Meeker, Albert Dekker and Paul Stewart.
Produced and directed by Robert Aldrich, this adaptation of Mickey Spillane’s Mike Hammer novel was co-written by Aldrich and master genre screenwriter A.I. Bezzerides. The screenplay reflects the paranoia over the atomic bomb that was gripping mid-fifties America.
Private investigator Mike Hammer picks up a frightened female hitchhiker, and is soon involved in a search for a box that contains ‘the great whatsit’.
Doors open at 18.30, for a 19.30 start.
Refreshments will be available in our licensed cafe/bar.
