About Indian Head Massage Training

The term Indian Head Massage to my mind conjures up an idea of just your head being massaged when in fact the treatment you will be taught includes so much more.

The method you will learn is an ancient therapeutic treatment that has been practiced in India for thousands of years and makes use of modern knowledge of Shiatsu and Acupressure, helping your client to re-balance their natural energies and clear any localized energy blocks they may have.

It is a very safe, simple, natural and gentle treatment usually performed with the client fully clothed and seated, with the treatment lasting anywhere between 15 – 45 minutes.

During the initial part of the Indian Head Massage training, we will discuss the health benefits and contraindications of having an Indian Head Massage along with professional codes of conduct and where you could obtain the necessary insurance.

The remainder of the day will be taken up with me showing you a breakdown of the movements involved when providing a full Indian Head Massage and Acupressure Facial.

The components will be broken down into 3 sections easy to manage sections and you will be given thorough instructions along with a practical demonstration of each movement involved. You will then practice these moves on each other and be allowed plenty of time to run through each movement in order for you to feel confident with each component.

You will be taught how to gently massage your client’s neck, shoulders, upper arms including a shoulder rotation. Further neck massages and finally, we get to the actual all overhead massage and end with a relaxing acupressure facial.

You will also be given a step by step manual to assist you and at the end of the Indian Head Massage Training day, you will be awarded your certificate of attendance.
