Ian Herbert is an award-winning sports journalist and author, and the Deputy Chief Sportswriter of the Daily Mail. He is the author of Quiet Genius, the critically acclaimed biography of former Liverpool manager Bob Paisley, which was shortlisted for the 2017 William Hill Sports Book of the Year award. Herbert was born in North Wales and is a life-long Wrexham fan. His latest book, Tinseltown, tells the story of Wrexham’s regeneration since the club’s takeover by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, immortalised in the Disney+ docu-series, Welcome to Wrexham.

David Williams is an award-winning journalist, media advisor and author who is a co-founder of the MyWelshpool and MyNewtown hyperlocal news sites. Based in Guilsfield with his two young children, his work has taken him across the world where he has been involved with several Olympic Games and other major multi-sport events, handling media operations and services. His debut thriller Desert England was critically acclaimed on release in 2008, and his follow-up We Could Be Zeroes’ will be released “once I have found the time between kids and work to put the polish on it!”.
