(Un)Serious Science is an event hosted by PRISM Exeter and the University of Exeter.

Come and enjoy putting the fun back in the fundamentals of science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM), and discover your identity as a LGBTQ+ scientist!

The talks and workshop will be conducted by LGBTQ+ STEM professionals/students from the local community. Part of the workshops will also highlight PRISM's recent Queer Science Competition, in which young people around the South West nominated an LGBTQ+ scientist they found inspirational.

Event Terms & Conditions

PURCHASING TICKETS FOR OUT THERE QUEER FEST

  1. Out There Queer Fest is an Exeter based festival organised by Out There Exeter.
  2. We sell tickets on behalf of event organisers, promoters, venues, producers, artists/performers, Out There Exeter and other persons involved in the organisation of events (‘Event Partner(s)’). Please note we are not responsible for organising or delivering all of the events within the Out There Queer Fest programme.
  3. We sell tickets as and when they are confirmed with Event Partners, and in accordance with their instructions. The number and type of Tickets allocated for sale by us vary on an event by event basis.
  4. Tickets are available exclusively online.
  5. Tickets will be issued as e-tickets only. You can book tickets 24 hours a day through TicketLab following the programme launch on 26 July. For our full programme listing visit out-there-exeter.com/festival
  6. If you wish to contact us with any queries relating to your purchase of tickets, please contact Out There Queer Fest at info@out-there-exeter.com.
  7. Tickets are only valid on the date and time shown on the ticket. 
  8. From the moment that the transaction is completed, all tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable unless a show has been cancelled – in which case we shall notify you and reimburse the price of the tickets as soon as possible – or the particulars of the show change in a manner which results in you being unable or unwilling to attend, in which case we will reimburse the price of the tickets as soon as possible. By completing your ticket purchase, you agree to these terms and conditions associated with it. If denied entry to an event, including due to late arrival, tickets are non-refundable. Lost or stolen tickets are non-refundable, and no duplicate tickets will be issued.
  9. For many performances, general concession prices are applicable to students, registered unemployed, customers with disabilities, senior citizens (65+) and children under the age of 18. Proof of status must be presented at the venue. Concession tickets are only valid when accompanied by appropriate identification.
  10. A booking fee, charged by Ticketlab, applies to online bookings, except for events where tickets are free.
  11. Free shows that are ticketed require an e-ticket for entry. Please double-check whether your show is ‘ticketed’ or ‘non-ticketed’ prior to arrival so you can plan accordingly.
  12. The festival events operate general admission seating, which means that seats are not pre-assigned in advance. Instead, they are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis as you enter the performance space. Some venues do sell tickets with pre-allocated seat numbers. When purchasing these tickets you will automatically be assigned seats for a performance. Seat numbers will be displayed during the booking process and on your e-ticket.
  13. Booking fees are non-refundable.
  14. Because you are a consumer, we are under a legal duty to supply tickets that are in conformity with the contract.

When you purchase a ticket, we collect your name and email address as part of the transaction process. This data is used for the following purposes:
