Come and join Debbie Young and Alberta Gutteridge, from North East London Death Cafe, and artist Hannah Crosson for a Memento Mori making workshop.

The workshop will take place over two evenings:

• Friday 20th January 2023, 6.30-8.30pm
• Friday 27th January 2023, 6.30-8.30pm

Ticket Price:

The ticket prices range from £30 to £50, and we have recommended pricing of £30, £40 or £50 to help you to choose a price that works for you. When making your booking, please select the event with the price that you would like to pay.

The ticket price includes the two 2-hour sessions, all materials and a glass of wine or an alcohol-free drink.

Food will be available to buy from Creative Biscuit’s cafe.

You might be wondering what a Memento Mori is! Well, very simply, it is an artwork designed to remind the viewer of their mortality and the shortness and fragility of human life.

At this intimate workshop, we will come together over the two evenings to talk about death and mortality within the warm and friendly Creative Biscuit Ceramics Cafe in South Woodford.

In the first session, you will learn more about Memento Mori and create your own Memento Mori object to eat or drink from.

In the second session, we will host a Death Cafe where we will communally use our Memento Mori objects. You will leave the workshop with an item you can use on a daily basis to contemplate your own mortality in a small way each day.
