Cinema Meniré and Spanners will hold a special screening + Q&A of Viento del este (East Wind) for Palestine. This documentary delves into the filmmaker's past, tracing the figure of her late father, along with the Palestinian heritage of the family.

In Viento del Este, a captivating film-essay in the form of a letter, the filmmaker embarks on a personal journey, tracing her late father figure and their Palestinian heritage. From Patagonia, across the Río de la Plata, to Palestine, wind, snow, and a few inherited objects bring news from the East, carrying stories of belonging. Through footage of the Israeli-occupied West Bank and the Jordan River, the director unravels the threads of the past, blending personal and global history. Her journey becomes a shared experience of loss, filling the void left by her father's absence.
