About Misty Moon presents Dracula: Dead and Loving It (1995) - film and Q&A

Misty Moon presents Mel Brooks’s horror spoof, starring the great Leslie Nielsen as the Count and Brooks himself as Van Helsing. The screening is followed by a Q&A with star Lysette Anthony, who plays Lucy Westenra.

Dracula: Dead and Loving It (1995) is the last film that Mel Brooks has directed, a spoof on the Bram Stoker novel and the various films that have been made of it. Count Dracula relocates from his Transylvanian castle to Victorian London, in search of new blood. Two beautiful young women, Mina and Lucy attract his attention, but when Mina’s fiancé notices his future bride’s strange behaviour, he calls in vampire hunter Van Helsing.

Lysette Anthony has starred in films such as Without a Clue (1988), Husbands and Wives (1992) and Look Who’s Talking Now (1993). On television, she had leading roles in the BBC sitcom Three Up, Two Down, the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks and Thames TV police drama series The Bill.

Doors open at 13.00, for a 14.00 start.

Refreshments will be available in our licensed cafe/bar.
