The London East Asia Film Festival season of films presented at The Cinema Museum continues with the Taiwanese romantic drama Lonely Seventeen (1967), directed by Pai Ching-jui.
A 17-year-old girl drifts through Taipei’s youthful restlessness, caught between innocence and rebellion. Her search for love and identity collides with societal expectations and her own fragile self-worth. Pai Ching-jui captures the ache of adolescence in a rapidly modernizing city.
