About Sensory Friendly Xmas Gig!
Typical Xmas parties and celebrations can be overwhelming for a lot of people. Nerotune is here to solve that stress by presenting our Sensory Friendly Xmas!
A jolly night kicking off with wonderful acoustic acts like Wispre and Niamh O’Leary. Afterwards, up and coming bands will sleigh to the stage such as Will E Blay's Horrible Lot, Tell Me Again and Ponceau.
Sensory friendly gigs aims to make live music (and xmas celebrations) accessible by:
- Dimming the lights and removing flashing strobes.
- Lowering the volume to safe hearing levels through various on stage modifications.
- Establishing “quiet zones” outside the main performance area for those who need a break. At Daltons these quiet spaces will be the Upstairs bar room and outside the venue.
- Selling fidget toys like fidget spinners and squish balls for comfort and focus.
- Creating a no judgement space where everyone can enjoy themselves freely.
