About Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019) Presented by: La Monocle’s Film Club
We are back with the second edition of La Monocle’s monthly queer film club, created in collaboration with the wonderful Caroline Cassin. Each month, we gather to celebrate queer cinema, build community, and create a welcoming space to meet new people. This month, the people have spoken and chosen Céline Sciamma’s masterpiece, Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019).
We’ll open doors at 6:30pm for a relaxed hour of mingling giving you a chance to chat and make friends. Drinks and snacks will be available at the Cinema Museum cafe/bar.
The film begins at 7:30pm, followed by an optional, informal continuation of the evening at Betty and Joan’s, just a short walk away. They’ll be open as usual; no reservation or partnership… simply a warm space to carry on conversations.
