Join us on 28th March for an evening of contemporary trad folk at The Globe, Glossop.
Ollersett are a Dark Peak-based folk trio blending original sets with fresh arrangements of tunes from Celtic and Scandinavian traditions. Having met at a Glossop folk session, their music is strongly connected to the thriving local folk scene and the landscape which surrounds it.
Tóchar are a Glasgow-based fiddle and guitar duo offering thoughtful interpretations of traditional and contemporary Celtic material. Fran Barrett and Kai Dudley, who met on London’s vibrant session scene, stage performances marked by an intimate musical dialogue - with guitar and fiddle in lively conversation as equals. With a repertoire that moves freely from traditional tunes and songs to original compositions, Tóchar bring warmth, playful rapport, and a deep respect for the tradition to the stage.
