About You Ain't Heard Nothin' Yet! - all day
Kennington Bioscope presents a day-long event exploring the many attempts to combine sound with film, from the Dickson Experimental Film of 1894 to the advent of the feature length musical.
In addition, for the first time in London, pianist John Sweeney will present a very special programme, Phono-Cinema-Theatre, featuring synchronised sound-on-cylinder films of famous actors, dancers, and entertainers, often with hand-tinted colour, made for the Paris Exposition of 1900.
Refreshments will be available in our licensed cafe/bar.
