About Choreography 101 - week one
Do you want to try burlesque dancing but aren't sure where to start? Want to add a little sass to your movement? Or to boost your confidence and self-love? Join international burlesque artist Fleur du Mal for regular burlesque-based dance sessions, every Wednesday evening!
In this course we'll be looking at the process of choreographing an individual burlesque act. We'll focus on using our song, costume, and characterisation techniques to create a full routine from the ground up!
These classes are intermediate level, suitable for those who have burlesque or dance experience - including those who have already completed our Choreo + Characterisation courses. Come along to separate sessions on a drop-in basis, or sign up for a block of six weeks for a discount!
Accessibility information
The room we use is up a flight of stairs. There is also a step at the entrance to the venue itself.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in easily! Layers are a good idea as the room we use can get pretty warm, especially in summer.
Trainers or pumps are suitable footwear, although you're welcome to bring dance heels to change into after the warmup if you like.
