About Last and First Men - Leith Kino at Argonaut Books
Argonaut Books and Leith Kino are continuing their collaboration with Saturday screenings over September in the bookshop space.
Last and First Men (2020)
Join us at Argonaut Books for a screening of Last and First Men, Jóhann Jóhannsson's adaptation of Olaf Stapledon's epoch-spanning 1930 science fiction novel about the history of humanity.
Told through narration from Tilda Swinton and a procession of uncanny images of socialist-era monuments in former Yugoslavia, Last and First Men is an engrossing meditation on the future of our species.
Tickets cost £6 and there are a number of free tickets available here for those not in a position to pay.
Please note that this screening will take place inside Argonaut Books (not Leith Depot).
Accessibility Information
Argonaut Books is an accessible, ground floor venue with gender neutral toilets. Seating is flexible and can be rearranged to accomodate specific needs and you're welcome to bring extra cushions for comfort if you like.
