About Bluff My Wine - With Dinner

1823 Cellar's fun event is back this September taking place Upstairs at Mulcaster this time, with a new twist : come for tasting, stay for dinner with our £49.95 offer for tasting with nibbles, and a lovely menu by Chef David Cameron. 

For the uninitiated, you will have to taste your way through 6 wines with 2 hosts introducing the wine you are drinking, but only one is talking about what's in your glass, the other is fibbing. Your mission : tell through a combination of your palate and body language cues from your hosts who's lying.

Artisan Baguette & Jersey Butter for the table

To Start

  • La Mancha Shellfish Assiette : Jersey Royal Bay oyster, Brittany gamba, picked Jersey crab, Brittany crevette, marinated rope grown mussels. Dijon mayo , shallot vinegar , Marie rose sauce
  • Fresh British Asparagus (v) : fried finely breaded crispy egg, Jersey Dairy Hollandaise sauce
  • Crunchy Battered King Prawns : crushed avocado, wild garlic aioli, pickled Jersey cucumber, spiced Marie rose sauce

To Follow

  • Herb Crusted, Roast Rack of English Lamb : Gratin potatoes, Provençal jus, 3 oaks jersey courgettes
  • French Confit of Duck : crunchy triple roast potatoes, Lyonnaise sausage, roast shallots, French beans, marrow jus, rhubarb ketchup
  • Grilled Tuna Loin : 3 Oaks Vinery Jersey tomatoes, wakame, citrus ponzu, Jersey royal
