The Gothique Film Society continues its 55th season with a double bill of ‘invasion’ features presented in glorious 16mm! – Invasion of the Bee Girls and Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
Invasion of the Bee Girls (USA/1973/85mins), directed by Denis Sanders and starring William Smith and Anitra Ford.
Male scientists engaged on secret government research are dying of sexual exhaustion. Is this connected to the ‘cosmic force’ that has recently arrived on Earth?
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (USA/1956/77mins), directed by Don Siegel and starring Kevin McCarthy and Dana Wynter.
Classic sci-fi horror. A small-town doctor discovers that people in his community are being replaced by emotionless alien duplicates. Then it’s his girl-friend’s turn.
