About Covid-Era Wanders: Doorstep Wonder, Local Lifelines?
For Open House 2020:
Hackney marshes: a vital green oasis rich in history and also contemporary wonder. This is our canvas to ask if travel is a state of mind? Can we recalibrate to findinspiration on our own doorstep? Drawing on his own experience here and sources like Walter Benjamin and Marcel Proust, he invites us to reimagine our surroundings with a new appreciation, seeing them with fresh eyes. After the 45 minute walk there'll be a 45-minute interactive session where you can share your thoughts or bring your own insights from your own vital lockdown locations.
