About Tochar
Join us for an evening of Scottish, Irish & Welsh traditional folk music!
Tóchar are a Glasgow-based fiddle and guitar duo offering thoughtful interpretations of traditional and contemporary Celtic material. Fran Barrett and Kai Dudley, who met on London’s vibrant session scene, stage performances marked by an intimate musical dialogue-with guitar and fiddle in lively conversation as equals. With a repertoire that moves freely from traditional tunes and songs to original compositions, Tóchar bring warmth, playful rapport, and a deep respect for the tradition to the stage.
Cara Elin is a whimsical whirlwind from South Wales. Her sound ranges from traditional celtic folk to lighthearted country twiddles. Through song, she brings to life the tall tales of the Mabinogion, painting pictures of misty mountain tops and tylwyth teg.
