About Family Woosah

Family Woosah is designed for the whole family to enjoy. 

I work with all ages of children and young people although aim the session at age 5-12. All types of family groups welcome including foster families. We will practice how to be still and listen to our bodies and talk about what sensations we can feel when being still. We will practice simple breathwork techniques you can use at home and talk about when and why we may want to use them in every day life. We will also try out guided visualisations to get imaginations fired up and allow the mind to relax before playing the singing bowls to bring about a parasympathetics state of being (rest and restore mode). The children will be allowed to explore some of the instruments and learn about how they are used for relaxation. 

Please note some children find it difficult at the beginning to keep quiet where they are asked to or to remain still. This is very normal and becomes easier the more you attend the sessions. It's a practice and practice is just that. Please be mindful that children don't have to be 'controlled' in the session and they are free to move around if they need to. 

I have kept the price to the lowest I possibly can but this means I need more bodies in the space so short notice cancellation may occur if I am unable to cover the costs of running the session so do tell your friends and family to come along and support this initiative. 

Our children are our futures, let's teach them how to grow up with skills to help their wellbeing.

something for each person to lie on

plenty of blankets and pillows 

warm comfortable clothes

water 

optional eye pillow.
