About The South Bank's Hidden Art Gallery
In this free guided walking tour we are going to explore the South Bank’s open air art gallery. The area is such a hub of creativity, from the Hayward Gallery in the South Bank Centre, through the Bankside Design District to the Tate Modern, that it is not a surprise to find art spilling out onto the streets, but it is easy to overlook with all that is going on. Hiding in plain sight is a rich and diverse collection of statutes, sculptures, murals, street art and iconic buildings. They range from the classical to the controversial and we’ll be discussing the works and the stories behind them on this entertaining tour.
