About Still Pushing Pineapples (2025)
Leith Kino is delighted to present Kim Hopkins' latest documentary Still Pushing Pineapples in the legendary Leith Dockers Club. Expect tropical vibes, cheap drinks and a good time! Hang out with us for some party tunes after the screening.
Entertainment, working-class culture, human connection, and the power of pop align in Kim Hopkins’ moving and funny road movie following ageing pop star Dene Michael as he chases one more chart success.

Access notes: the Dockers Club Main Hall (where the screening is taking place) is fully accessible, including access to the bar and accessible toilet. Still Pushing Pineapples has full descriptive captions in English throughout. We are delighted that BSL interpreter Lou Hansen will be interpreting the introduction to the film.

A weekly community cinema night based in Leith.
Join us for weekly screenings, celebrating films that are international, experimental, arthouse, trash, cult, a little bit strange, and maybe otherwise hard to see on the big screen.
Each screening will be introduced by a member of the Leith Kino collective and, importantly, there will be free (vegan) popcorn.
Drinks and refreshments are available to purchase at the Dockers Club bar.
