About Sensory friendly gig at Waterbear Venue
Love discovering new bands but find live music overwhelming? Nerotune presents the perfect night at Waterbear Venue for you! A night of exciting upcoming bands/artists that won't overwhelm you.
The night will kick off with intimate acoustic sets from Milabout and Lucretia Stokes. Afterwards will be a mix of diffierent bands with intresting new sounds to captivate your mind. These bands include indie folk band Stillunlikely, Instrumental rock 5 piece Benji Green's Rubber Band and finally disco rock infused Tell Me Again.
Sensory friendly gigs aims to make live music accessible by:
Dimming the lights and removing flashing strobes.
Lowering the volume to safe hearing levels through various on-stage modifications.
Establishing “quiet zones” outside the main performance area for those who need a break. Inside Waterbear venue is a upstairs seating area at the back of the viewing area. There is also an outdoor standing area and the beach (As the venue is on the seafront) to hang at.
Selling fidget toys like fidget spinners and squish balls for comfort and focus.
Creating a no judgement space where everyone can enjoy themselves freely.
Event Terms & Conditions
1. Please be respectful of other attendees. The main audience of these gigs are sensory sensitive or neurodivergent people. Any intolerant behaviour will result in eviction from the gig by venue security.
2. No overly loud chanting or screaming. Clapping is allowed but please be mindful of others potential sensory issues.
3. Please ensure you keep your online ticket on you at all times and be stamped in before entering/exiting the venue.
