About How to monitor insects in your garden: FIT Count Skillshare

Monitoring your insect life in a thorough and systematic way is key to knowing how well you're supporting wildlife in your garden. Join us for a 2-hour skillshare on how to undertake Flower Insect Timed (FIT) Counts and contribute to national data sets. This skillshare will allow you to take this knowledge back to your garden / community garden and conduct regular FIT count sessions.

As well as helping us more thoroughly understand the insect life in our specific gardens, conducting FIT Counts contributes to the UK Pollinator Monitoring Scheme which is collating a country-wide data set on the health of our insect ecosystems.

The Our Pastures Community Garden, is a perfect site to learn these skills. It features a large wildlife pond, a range of perennial and annual plants, and is beautiful at this time of year.

The site is wheelchair accessible with wheelchair accessible bathrooms.
