About Hamlet
On September 5 and September 6, 2026, Soulton Hall will host a candlelight production of Hamlet, led by director Naomi Coleman and the Aethelflaed Theatre Company. This production will take place within Soulton Hall's seventeenth-century courtroom, the Historic Moot Hall. This space carries the distinct weight of regional trials and historical judgment. Crucially, it stands on the foundation of Old Sir Rowland’s great hall—a location intimately familiar to the writer of the original source texts that Shakespeare transformed into his greatest works.
