About Donnie 'Large' Macdonald and Iain 'Costello' Maciver
Donnie ‘Large’ MacDonald and Iain ‘Costello’ MacIver both began their musical journeys with The Hebridean Dance Band, with Donnie being a founder member and Iain joining several years later.
However their paths never crossed in The Heb.
Although Iain has supported Donnie and Men of Worth musical partner, James Keigher on several occasions when the pair toured with groups of American visitors in Lewis and Harris, they have only played a handful of concerts as a duo.
This collaboration comes as a result of Iain producing new recordings of Donnie’s mother’s songs.
The result was a double album consisting of twenty six songs and featuring five previously unreleased tracks.
