When Journalist John Klein (Richard Gere) is involved in a car accident where his wife (Laura Linney) claims to have seen a moth-like creature suddenly appear in
front of them.
John Klein makes a personal investigation of other reported sightings. This takes him to Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Where sightings and experiences appear to concentrate.
Based on actual events which took place between 1966 and 1967. The Mothman Prophecies (2002) is a unique, tense and unusual paranormal thriller. Richard Gere is excellent in this hugely underrated film.
