Questions we get from film organisers
Do I need a film screening licence as well as Ticketlab?
Yes. To charge for a public screening in the UK you typically need the right copyright licence (for many titles, a Single Title Screening Licence via Filmbankmedia or equivalent). Ticketlab handles ticketing and payments, not film rights. See our guide to starting a film club.
Can I sell tickets for a whole season?
Yes. Create an event per screening, or use series-style listings where available. Same low-fee model either way.
Is Ticketlab a cinema booking system for multiplexes?
No. We are event ticketing for people who put films on: film clubs, community cinemas, museums, festivals. Not a chain cinema till.
What does it cost to list?
Nothing. Create the event and share it. Guests pay a booking fee, or you can absorb it where the product allows.
