Threads of Wellness: Creative Textile Workshops in Leytonstone
Learn to sew, explore sustainable textiles and make something of your own!
Join local textile practitioner Luisa of The Oakum for a friendly series of hands-on workshops at Langthorne Park Pavilion.
Suitable for complete beginners and those with some sewing experience, each project takes place over two sessions. All materials and equipment will be provided and light refreshments available.
Threads of Wellness is about more than sewing. It's an opportunity to take time for yourself, enjoy working with your hands, meet neighbours and discover the wellbeing benefits of creative activity.
Thanks to funding from the London Borough of Waltham Forest’s Community Ward Funding, Leytonstone Toy Library and The Oakum are able to offer a number of free and subsidised places.
Event Terms & Conditions
Age: Workshops are for adults aged 18 and over only.
Booking: Places are limited and advance booking is required. Each project consists of two linked sessions, and participants are encouraged to attend both.
Cancellations: Tickets are non-refundable. If you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your place to someone else. This is particularly important for free tickets.
Timings: Sessions run from 10:00am to 12:30pm. Please arrive five minutes before the start.
Accessibility: We aim to make our workshops welcoming and inclusive. Please contact us in advance if you have any participation or accessibility requirements.
